Week 12: at Texas Tech (Nov. 20)

Fun fact: Aside from OU and Texas, Texas Tech is the only current Big 12 opponent against whom the Cowboys have a losing record. It’s a slight 23-22-2 advantage all-time for the Red Raiders, and it’s one that the Cowboys are capable of equalling in 2021.

Third-year head coach Matt Wells has struggled in Lubbock, miring a football program’s progress — the Red Raiders haven’t finished with a winning record since the 2015 season. New offensive coordinator (and former Tech signal-caller) Sonny Cumbie will hope to rejuvenate an offense that was lackluster by program standards last year, when the team finished with four wins for the second straight year.

Final Score: OSU 51, Texas Tech 34 (9-2, 6-2 Big 12)

Week 13: vs. Oklahoma (Nov. 27)

The lack of Bedlam success is the only major blemish on OSU head coach Mike Gundy’s historic tenure in Stillwater, as the Cowboys have only defeated the Sooners twice since 2002. OU is a tough opponent to have as an in-state rival, considering that the Sooners gather Big 12 titles and CFP appearances in bunches, but the series futility is still tough for many OSU fans to bear.

Head coach Lincoln Riley’s squad has scored more than 40 points per game for six consecutive seasons, all of which have ended with Big 12 championships. There have been some late November Bedlam miracles in years past, but don’t look too keenly for an orange-and-black deus ex machina this fall.

Final Score: Oklahoma 45, OSU 27 (9-3, 6-3 Big 12)
