It's time to move on.

This isn't the way that Oklahoma State football fans envisioned things ending for Mike Gundy. He's been leading this program for more than 20 years, with 170 wins with his alma mater. However, there's just no way back for him after this.

Friday was rock bottom for the Cowboys under Gundy's direction, with an inexcusable and unacceptable home loss being posted in front of a deflated crowd. Oklahoma State losing 19-12 to Tulsa on Friday night, after the 69-3 loss to Oregon, was something no one saw coming. The first win for Tulsa in Stillwater since 1951? Ouch.

Gundy was supposed to prove early on this season that he's still the right man for the job, but it's been made quite clear that's no longer the case. As you might have been able to guess, people have been losing their minds on social media and countless fans are calling for Gundy to be fired as soon as possible.

What's Mike Gundy's buyout? Cowboys fans must be livid after 1st half vs. Tulsa

Oklahoma State fans are calling for Mike Gundy to be fired after losing at home to Tulsa

As you'll be able to see in the posts below, the Oklahoma State faithful indeed have seen enough and they don't want Gundy to still have a job come later this weekend:

Before Oklahoma State lost to Oregon, Gundy brought up NIL and how much more money the Ducks had in their budget compared to the Cowboys. Well, what does Gundy have to say now following the loss to Tulsa? There's nothing that can be said.

No one is ever going to forget what Gundy has been able to do for the program. However, he entered the new campaign with his job on the line after the Cowboys went 3-9 last season. The brutal results continue to come in and it's something that no one can keep putting up with.

Last week, Virginia Tech fired Brent Pry and UCLA decided to part ways with Deshaun Foster. Could Gundy step down on his own and save some face? It'd be great for the university to let him make his exit his own way, but said exit needs to happen. Gundy will always be an Oklahoma State legend, but he just doesn't have a future running the show. It's time to move on.
