8. West Virginia Mountaineers

Season: 2012

Date: Nov. 10, 2012

Result: Oklahoma State 55, West Virginia 34

This might seem like the weirdest selection for this list. However, this was the first time the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Cowboys met as Big 12 conference football opponents. OK State needed a victory at this point in the 2012 season to become bowl eligible.

They defeated the Mountaineers in dominating fashion, by a 21-point margin. Chelf had a solid game as well in his first career start with 292 yards passing and four touchdowns. This was the start of a two game winning streak before the Cowboys lost to the Oklahoma Sooners and Baylor Bears to finish the regular season.

Wide receiver Josh Stewart had a great outing as well with 172 receiving yards and three total touchdowns, including a huge rushing touchdown on a reverse play. Stewart followed that up with a huge 2013 season before he left a season early for the NFL.
