4. Kansas Jayhawks

Location: Lawrence, KS

All-Time Football Record: 39-26-2

The Kansas Jayhawks are in this spot for one reason and one reason only, basketball. KU has not been even close to competitive in football for a while and the Cowboys own a seven game winning streak against the Jayhawks.

However, KU and OK State makes for one of the most entertaining matchups in the Big 12 for basketball. For some reason, KU cannot defeat the Cowboys at Gallagher-Iba Arena anymore. OK State owns a four-game winning streak against the Jayhawks at home. Even last year’s 12-win basketball team defeated a top five KU team at GIA.

Losing to KU in basketball is likely the most relatable to losing in Bedlam in football to the Cowboy fan base. There’s something incredibly awesome about beating the dominant Jayhawks, a blue blood basketball program, when the odds are against OK State.

The next chapter of KU and OK State at GIA takes place this Saturday, March 4, in the regular season finale for the Pokes.
