A look around the world of noteworthy Oklahoma State Cowboys news and notes, as well as other relevant stories from the Big 12 and sports world in general.

The UTSA game left the pundits with plenty to talk about afterwards, which is a good thing in this case. The crazy action in the Big 12 provided plenty of fodder as well, and then there’s the whole injury situation down in Dallas, which affects plenty of former Stillwater Cowboys.

Stillwater and Beyond

– I’ll admit that I felt kinda bad for the Roadrunners when the Cowboys scored that last offensive touchdown on a long run from Raymond Taylor. This little story made me feel a lot better about it.

While we’re at it, here’s all the UTSA highlights one more time:

– Pistols Firing has a pretty good batch of quotes following the UTSA game, including Glenn Spencer, who is quickly becoming one of my favorite quote providers:

“They kept coming after the coach. ‘Coach that’s three.’ ‘Coach that’s four.’ ‘Coach that’s five.’ I said ‘I know, I’m watching the game too.’

– Brandon Weeden was playing it pretty cool after his 7-of-7 performance in the Dallas Cowboys’ win over the Eagles yesterday.

– 2016 Cowboy quarterback commit Nick Starkel certainly enjoyed the Weeden performance:

– Travis Ford secured his first 2016 recruit over the weekend.

– Expect the Texas Longhorns to be pretty motivated this Saturday in Austin after a loss like that.

Elsewhere and Otherwise

– Here are some way-too-early Big 12 bowl projections from ESPN.

– Berry Tramel learned a few things during all the crazy Big 12 play over the weekend.

– Speaking of Big 12 craziness, here’s that pass from Texas Tech running back Jakeem Grant during their win over Arkansas:

– Here’s the new AP Top 25 poll in case you haven’t seen it yet.

– Vince Young lost a bet over the Cal/Texas game on Saturday, and had to pay up.
