Oklahoma State football will take on West Virginia on the road in a Week 10 Big 12 matchup this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT, televised on ESPN. The Cowboys are ranked No. 11 in the first College Football Playoff Committee’s rankings for the season, one spot ahead of No. 12 Baylor and only three spots behind No. 8 Oklahoma.

OSU (7-1, 4-1) has won six games in a row against West Virginia (4-4, 2-3), although two of the previous games have come within a one-possession margin. The Mountaineers have only beaten the Cowboys twice since joining the Big 12 Conference nine years ago.

The Cowboys are a three-point favorite to beat West Virginia on Saturday and have won three games in a row in Morgantown.

No. 11-ranked Oklahoma State football travels to Morgantown, West Va. this weekend in hopes of getting its seventh straight win against the Mountaineers.

The Mountaineers are on a two-game winning streak, including a victory over then-No. 22 Iowa State at home. The 38-31 win against the Cyclones was a confidence booster for West Virginia, which had also challenged current No. 8-ranked Oklahoma in Norman before falling to the Sooners 16-13 earlier this season.

The Cowboys just beat Kansas as part of the centennial Homecoming festivities in Stillwater, Okla. last weekend. The 55-3 victory against the Jayhawks came in a game that was over before halftime, with OSU starters like quarterback Spencer Sanders starting to get pulled out even before the intermission. Kansas didn’t gain a first down until midway through the third quarter, when the team trailed 45-0.

For OSU, the West Virginia game is a chance to exorcise the demons from their most recent road trip — a 24-21 defeat to Iowa State in Ames two weeks ago. It was the Cowboys’ first loss of the season and came after a critical fourth-down effort was just inches short with about a minute left in the game.

Here are three keys to OSU getting the win in Morgantown on Saturday:
