2011: No. 3 OSU 44, No. 13 Oklahoma 10

This Bedlam win was the pinnacle of a feel-good rivalry victory coupled with a dream season for Mike Gundy and the Cowboys. OSU was, in a rare occasion, ranked higher than the Sooners and was gunning for its first Big 12 title ever.

The Pokes emerged with the Bedlam W and the conference title after building a 24-0 first-half lead. Behind Joseph Randle‘s 151 rushing yards and two touchdowns in addition to a returned fumble for a touchdown by Richetti Jones, OSU defeated OU for the first time in nine years by a score of 44-10.

Though at 11-1, OSU was unfortunately not selected to play in the BCS national championship game (which featured an SEC rematch between Alabama and LSU that was the third least-watched BCS title game ever), the Cowboys took the Bedlam momentum to finish a special season on a high note: a Fiesta Bowl win against Stanford and star quarterback Andrew Luck.

2014: OSU 38, No. 18 Oklahoma 35 (OT)

It’s no surprise that another Bedlam triumph ranks as OSU’s best win of the past decade. The 2014 OSU upset victory in Norman was unexpected, and it was important, too, psychologically: it made the Cowboys bowl-eligible at 6-6 overall, followed by an OSU bowl win against Washington in the Cactus Bowl. The momentum moving forward was crucial for a program to not finish with a losing record; indeed, the Cowboys would go on to win 10 games in each of the next three seasons.

The upset was made possible by Tyreek Hill‘s 91-yard punt return for a touchdown with 45 seconds remaining that tied the game at 35-35. Ben Grogan would go on to make the game-winning field goal in overtime. The favored Sooners had a 28-14 halftime lead before the Cowboys mounted a legendary fourth-quarter comeback.

This game has been the most recent OSU win in the Bedlam series against OU.
