Dates and times for annual slate of college football bowl games following the 2021 season were announced last week, including a clearer picture of which conference has tie-ins to particular bowl games and a lineup of TV broadcasts for these games.

Outside of the College Football Playoff, Big 12 teams have seven possible destinations. If the Cowboys don’t reach the CFP national semifinals, the most lucrative game would be the Sugar Bowl — a contest in which OSU has appeared twice before (1946 and 2016).

OSU has seven possible bowl destinations following the 2021 football season through its Big 12 ties, outside of a CFP berth.

Three of the seven bowl games are based in the Lone Star state, and OSU has appeared in each of these seven bowls at least once before. Interesting enough, the Cowboys have a .500 or a winning record in all seven of these games. OSU has won four of its last five bowl games, too.

OSU has participated in 31 bowl games in school history and has a 20-11 win-loss postseason record. The Cowboys have played in 15 bowl games in a row under head coach Mike Gundy, easily a school record. Gundy has compiled a 10-5 postseason record during his 16 years in Stillwater.
