3. Baylor Bears

Season: 2013

Date: Nov. 23, 2013

Result: Oklahoma State 49, Baylor 17

Baylor came into this late November Big 12 contest ranked no. 4 in the country. Head coach Art Briles was garnering national attention with the Bears’ record setting offense under the direction of quarterback Bryce Petty.

ESPN College Gameday was in Stillwater for this game as it looked to determine, to some degree, the eventual Big 12 Champion. Marcus Smart was even the Gameday guest.

This was one of the coldest games in recent memory. BPS was freezing and packed for this night game. OK State started the game fast and never looked back.

No one expected the Pokes to shut down the Baylor offense the way they did, let alone beat the Bears by 32 points.

Chelf threw for 370 yards and three touchdowns to spark the 49 point effort out of the Cowboy offense. Turnovers helped the Cowboys as well. Whenever it seemed like Petty and the Bears were getting something going, they would fumble the ball away to the Pokes.

OK State earned themselves a no. 6 ranking entering the Bedlam game two weeks later, after this extremely impressive victory.

This was the last time the Cowboys beat Baylor, as the time previous to this game was the 2011 campaign.
