7. Washington Huskies, 2014-15 Cactus Bowl

Season: 2014

Date: Jan. 2, 2015

Result: Oklahoma State 30, Washington 22

OK State capped off their worst football season in recent memory with a fun bowl win over the Washington Huskies in the Cactus Bowl in Jan. 2015. Rudolph got the third start of his career against the Huskies.

With all the hardships of the seven win season Cowboy fans experienced in 2014, the end of the season was very fun. OK State followed up a Bedlam victory, the only one since 2011, with a bowl victory over favored Washington.

Defensive tackle James Castleman had a big game on both sides of the ball, including a bruising run where he ended up knocking some of the paint off his helmet. Castleman also rushed for one touchdown on the day. Running back Desmond Roland had a great game as well in tandem with Rennie Childs.

James Washington really had his coming out party at the end of his freshman season before posting massive stats in his sophomore season. This win really helped build momentum for the Cowboys’ 10 win season in 2015, where they looked like one of the most improved teams in the Big 12.
