Things looked rough for Underwood at the start of Big 12 play. OK State lost its first six games in conference play. Since then, they have won eight of their last nine games and seven of their last eight in the Big 12.

What makes getting back to .500 in conference play even sweeter is when you beat your rival to do it. Even though the Pokes came into last night’s contest at 11.5 point favorites, most OU and OK State fans knew that the game would not be that big of a blowout.

Most of the time it doesn’t really matter how good or bad each team is in a Bedlam game, both teams are going to leave everything on the court/field/rink/etc. That proved to be true in both Bedlam games this season as the Pokes won both games by six points combined.

The Sooners have had results like this all season though. They are a very young team that came out with some unfortunate endings to games this season. Meanwhile, OK State has more experience from seniors like shooting guard Phil Forte, forward Leyton Hammonds, and forward  Mitchell Solomon. And even with Evans being just a sophomore, his composure feels like he is a senior leading the Cowboys.
