The Oklahoma State baseball team has the second game of their three game series with Grand Canyon postponed for tomorrow at 7 p.m. CT.

The Oklahoma State baseball team had their second leg of a three game series against Grand Canyon University postponed today due to rain. The no. 18 ranked Cowboys lost the first game of the series yesterday to the Lopes 6-1.

This was not the start to the season the Cowboys had hoped for. Preseason All American pitcher Tyler Buffett ended up getting the loss yesterday as he allowed five earned runs in just four innings of work. Moreover, the OK State lineup came up dry with only four hits.

Outfielder Ryan Sluder ended up with the only run of the game and first baseman Dustin Williams ended up with the sole RBI for the Pokes. The good news for OK State is the fact that the bullpen was solid through five innings of work yesterday. They allowed only one earned run after Buffett put the Cowboys in an early hole.

OK State gets the chance to earn their first win of the season tomorrow at 7 p.m. CT at Brazella Stadium. That game was originally scheduled for tonight but rain in Phoenix caused the delay. Jensen Elliott gets the start tomorrow followed by Carson Teel on Monday.

Since tonight’s contest got moved to tomorrow, the third game in the series is now set to be played on Monday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. CT against the Lopes.

The last game on the slate for the Cowboys’ four game road trip comes against the no. 25 ranked Arizona State Sun Devils in Tempe, AZ, on Feb. 21. At least winning two of the final three games of the road trip would be a solid momentum builder for the Cowboys first home game against the Texas State Bobcats on Feb. 24.
