Kansas State at Mississippi State

The Match Up: This would be a grinder. Coach Bill Snyder’s team does not make many unforced errors. They are solid on both sides of the ball. Dan Mullen is leading what looks to be a resurgence in the land of the cowbell. In our hypothetical game, the Bulldogs have Dak Prescott. Kansas State has a quarterback no one will remember.

Not enough weapons exist for the Wildcats to close out a low scoring affair. KSU keeps it close. Score: Mississippi State 17 Kansas State 13

Likely or Not: This is a really good match up of two solid teams. For fans of high-flying aerial offenses the style might hurt your eyes though.

Having played Auburn, Kansas State has shown it is willing to schedule an SEC foe in a non-conference game. Mississippi State has shown it is willing to schedule a local high school in a non-conference game. Not likely. But, boy, there would be some thrilling discussions about Agricultural Economics in the parking lot tailgates!
