Projected Starter: Jeremy Seaton

As a fullback, a player is stuck in between two worlds. A fullback does not get the recognition like the lineman and running backs do, but the player has a role that is just as important as the two. For three years, Kye Staley was a staple of the OSU offense, making play after play when the Cowboys needed it. And now with Staley gone, the OSU offense is short one of the most impactful positions on the field.

Fortunately, Oklahoma State has a good replacement.

Jeremy Seaton has played all but one game over the last couple years, and has progressed into one of the many passing options available on the OSU offense. He is usually involved in a play on the field, whether it be giving an important block or a check down for a quarterback being rushed.

Seaton will have a lot to live up to with Kye Staley gone, especially with the former fullback playing such an integral part of the running game. If Seaton’s previous play is any indicator, the Cowboys won’t miss all that much this season. Even better, If Seaton can improve on his catching ability, Seaton will become much more of an asset than he already his.
