Welcome to Pokes Post’s Position Preview. Trust me, that’s last time all those p’s will be together. Tonight we will be looking at the running back and fullback position for OSU’s upcoming season.
Thurman Thomas. Vernand Morency. Barry Sanders. Kendall Hunter. Joseph Randle.
Stillwater has been known to be home to some great running backs over the years, as well as those running back’s car dealerships. Every year it seems that the running backs can be counted on to have experience and ability at Oklahoma State. This year, however, is probably the most unsure the running back and fullback position has been in years.
Since 2007, Oklahoma State has had a string of sure-fire starters in the running back position. First it was Kendall Hunter, then it was Joseph Randle. Even last year with several different players starting, the Cowboys had Jeremy Smith and Kye Staley, both seniors with plenty of game-time experience. But now, all that is gone.
Who will pick up the torch and will OSU find another one of its great running backs? Read on to find out.
