Taking a look at the ten players on the Oklahoma State football team that are worth watching during the course of 2017 Spring Practice.

Head coach Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State football program are rapidly preparing for the start of Spring Practice on March 6. National Signing Day is in the books and it’s time to start looking forward to the 2017 college football season.

OK State has some of the best returning talent of any team in the country. Even looking past the obvious for the best players returning like quarterback Mason Rudolph and wide receiver James Washington, there is still a lot to be excited about.

Freshman All-American running back Justice Hill returns for what looks to be a promising sophomore campaign. However, Chris Carson will have to be replaced as Hill’s backup for the Pokes to have as solid of a running game as they did last season.

The entire receiving corps looks to be the best in the Big 12 if not the best in the nation. Along with Washington, the Pokes return Jalen McCleskey and Chris Lacy. Rudolph is sure to have plenty of weapons to work with on such a talented offense.

The 2017 Spring Football Game is the first opportunity to see the makings of the 2017 OK State football team. That game takes place on April 15 at 1 p.m. CT at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater. It’s also really the only opportunity to see the players participating in anything close to game speed before the season opener.

If anything like transfers, injuries, or suspensions start to hamper the Pokes in key areas then Spring Practice becomes that more important. Gundy has already come out and said that Rudolph will not be getting as many snaps in the Spring as the other quarterbacks like Taylor Cornelius and John Kolar because they will need them much more.

It’s just an exciting time in general to be nearing a time when football is taking place once again. Not just getting to see how the Pokes look in Spring Practice but to see how the rest of the Big 12 starts to take shape is very important as well.

Now, let’s take a look at the top 10 OK State players to watch in Spring Practice to see how they fit in come Fall 2017.
