Many people were surprised when Gary Gaskins, a Oklahoma State basketball player with good potential, left the team in February. Mark Cooper of the Tulsa World has the update.
In a bit of a longer story, Chris Ross of Cowboys Ride For Free broke down why the Cowboys could win the game that so many people have crossed off as a loss.
Frankly, if I start breaking down advanced stats, and analyzing position match-ups I’m not going to want to even watch the game. Thankfully games aren’t decided on paper or in the film room. They’re decided on the field.
The game is not over until it’s over and this game hasn’t even started yet. So don’t check off a cowboys loss just yet.
In other Oklahoma State football news, most journalists and broadcasters who watch Oklahoma State football have been comparing this year to the 2012 season, which was mired in inexperience and injuries. Berry Tramel of the Oklahoman has more on the comparison.
These Cowboys are wiped out on defense, returning just four starters, and are picked fifth in the Big 12. The 2012 Cowboys were wiped out of offensive star power. No Brandon Weeden. No Justin Blackmon. No Josh Cooper. They were picked fourth in the Big 12.
Just about the same.
