The media frenzy in Stillwater continues.
Coach Mike Gundy and Oklahoma State athletic director Mike Holder addressed the media about allegations made against OSU in a Sports Illustrated report that was publicly released recently.
In today’s news conference, Mike Gundy stated he and Oklahoma State staff members are “focused on our team”, yet he also stated, “I know the part that may have involved me. I’m not sure we know it all yet.”
“I’m going to guess that once we get all the information and we see what’s out there, then our administration and the people inside will look at it and we’ll see where we made mistakes and we’ll try to make ourselves better and correct it and then we’ll move forward”, Gundy said.
Oklahoma State athletic director Mike Holder stated, “We take this personally. We are all committed to playing by the rules and doing things the right way around here, and for people to say that’s not what’s happening is very disturbing.”
Burns Hargis, Oklahoma State President, stated in a news release, “Oklahoma State University is deeply troubled by these claims. We will investigate the accuracy of the allegations and take all appropriate action. We do not condone or tolerate improper conduct in our athletic programs. OSU requires everyone affiliated with the university to follow the rules and adhere to the highest ethical standards.”
