The Kansas State Wildcats, Texas Christian Horned Frogs, Baylor Bears and Oklahoma Sooners all travel to Boone Pickens Stadium this season. One could say that the road to the Big 12 Championship basically runs through Stillwater.
In my opinion, the ultimate Big 12 Match-Up to watch is Oklahoma State at Texas. Regarding what happened last year with the majorly important game altering blown call by the referee that resulted in a bogus “L” on the Cowboys’ record, you can bet that the Pokes are bringing hell with them to Texas in an attempt to get some revenge and show the world last year was a fluke.
Texas is ranked #4 in the Power Rankings, this I don’t agree with. I believe the Longhorns are a legitimate threat in the Big 12 above Oklahoma and Texas Christian. David Ash could potentially have the best season of his career thus far when it’s all said and done, the problem lies with their defense. If their defensive backs can step up their performance, opponents are going to have a hard time defeating them.
Oklahoma State’s high powered offense will undoubtedly light up the scoreboard again. Every opponent they face this season will have their hands full. If the defense stays on top of their game they could make a run for one of the top bowl games, quite possibly even a National Championship.
